Sizes: Age 12 month – Age 7

This dress is perfect for hot summer days or worn with a cardigan or jacket on colder days. It quite roomy so as the child grows taller, it can still be worn with leggings, tights or jeans.. Also the dress can be worn as a pinafore over a t shirt on cooler days. This pattern is a great way to use up smaller pieces of fabric for the panels.

The layers are assembled first, The dress is raglan sleeved. Front, Back and Sleeves are stitched together Then the elastic is enclosed in a casing. No need for any button closures or zipper. Easy to slip on or off.

The smallest size was made with 3 fat quarters. A strip of bias tape was used to make the hem to add length.
Fabric Suggestions: Broadcloth, Chambray, Poplin, Linen, Quilting Cotton
Additional Fabric may be required to match stripes, plaids or one-way design fabric.
Notion Requirements and suggested yardage is shown in the images.
A desktop or laptop computer is required in order to save and print this pattern. DO NOT DOWNLOAD OR PRINT FROM A PHONE OR TABLET.
A PDF reader is required to view and print the files, such as Adobe Reader.
A printer is required to print the pattern pages.
Print at 100%. Make sure that the test square matches the measurements indicated on the pattern.
You will download two files.
  • One has the pattern to print at home on A4 or Letter paper.
  • This includes 10 pages, 8 have to be pieced together. Once the pattern has been pieced and taped or glued together, it can be cut to the required size.
  • The other file has the instructions with illustrations. this includes 4 pages.
  • There is also the option for large format printing to print on A0 paper. The large format pattern does not require piecing together. It can be printed at a copy shop or those who have access to a large format printer.
