Stenciled Lavender Flowers On Fabric Using Freezer Paper And Acrylic Paint

One of my favourite plants in my garden is lavender. Also, as an aromatherapist, it is an essential oil I always have on hand. So when I needed more tote bags, I worked on these two lavender stencils.

Place masking or painters tape under the registration marks for easy application of the second colour.
For this one I used one of the leaves as a registration point.

And again freezer paper is so much fun to work with. It is so easy to iron the freezer paper onto the fabric. And then to use your medium of choice. For these I used acrylic paint I had in my stash and added a bit of fabric medium to it.

For the the leaves of stems, It was easy to use a stencil brush and dry brush technique.

The design for the flowers in this stencil has larger spaces to easily add texture and different colours using a cotton swab.
For this one where the area for the different textures are smaller, it was easy to use a stencil brush and dry brush technique. And once again, when using freezer paper, clean up is really easy.
