More dresses from recycled shirts

I thought I ‘d make some peasant dresses this time.

With the orange cotton shirt I decided to use the whole of the short sleeve to make a 3/4 sleeve.
Since the rest of the shirt was faded, when I unpicked the pocket it left a darker patch. So I left the pocket in place and used the back yoke pieces and stitched it to the body of the front and back.

With the blue striped shirt, I had no problem unpicking the pocket so I could make it a buttoned down front.I has a scrap of fabric I had dyed previously and stamped the image to make a pocket.
The cuff of the long sleeves were quite worn so I decided to cut them off. I put the button detail in front.

With the rest of the scraps I made
lavender and cedar sachets.
