A great way to use your scraps of yarn for a good cause.
On Thursday evenings at my local yarn store knitters get together to knit African Comfort Dolls or Teddy Bears.
These dolls are used by ICROSS Canada to keep medical supplies safe during the journey to Africa. They are then distributed to Aids orphans and children in very poor communities.
I chose to knit a doll.
I used the scraps I had which wasn’t the same as the yarn called for in the pattern so mine is a bit bigger than the actual size but it turned out quite cute anyway.
I will be experimenting with beads and patterns when I knit the next one.
