Hand Embroidery on Black

I enjoy doing embroidery but haven’t been doing much lately.
This time I chose to embroidery on black cotton, since I need to make some cushion covers.

*****It is very important that you plan your project and stitches before you start and  make sure that you have enough floss for the stitches you choose for the project.

I copied the design from my coloring book available at gunksdesigns.etsy.com
  or  gunksdesigns.artfire.com

I did not alter the size.
Transferring with pencil and dressmaker’s carbon paper was easy.
Pin the design to the fabric with the carbon paper between the fabric and paper.
Trace the design. It’s easier to work on a hard surface.I use a piece of board I got from the local hardware store.

Once the design has been traced, remove the papers.

If you prefer using an embroidery hoop, stretch the fabric over the  hoop.Make sure you have enough fabric to comfortably stretch over.
Embroider using the stitches of your choice.
