Dana is tall and slim. Because I wasn’t sure of her length I decided to sew a pinafore and a top, so I didn’t have to worry about the sleeves being too short. Also if the dress was too short she could wear it a pants underneath.
I made a square neck and armhole. I also shifted the button stand to the side. She can wear it with the buttons in front or at the back.
I din’t find I like for the top so I bought a plain white t- shirt [I would have preferred another colour though] and smocked the rib, picking up some of the colours in the dress.
I’m quite pleased with the way it turned out.
